  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just received a card from the place where I bought my Equus from.

The card is a "reminder for my recommended 3000 mile service". They also offer a "$24.95 Oil and Filter Change."

Is this card a mistake? I was under the impression that the first oil change came at 7500 miles (and is free).

My car has 4900 ,miles.

I don't know anything about free oil changes for Equus, but your dealer would recommend oil changes be performed every day if you are stupid enough to pay for it.

Equus gets 5 years of free maintenance.

You are assuming a much higher degree of intelligence, sophistication, and coordination within your dealer service department. They probably just get a list of new Hyundai owners and send out computerized mailings to owners. They cannot be bothered by technicalities such as the fact that Equus owners get free maintenance for 5 years, since it would cost them more to exclude you from the mailing than it costs to send you the mailing anyway.
