Mind is a little scattered at this point but I've had this car for 8 years, honestly a couple accidents nothing crazy, but otherwise no issues. 10 or so days ago i'm pulling into Reagan and the car just I guess stalls, all the electronics were working and the starter would like to try to start but no turn over. Tested the battery and alternator, said it was the battery so replaced it and was on my way.
3ish days later the car stalls on the ramp to the highway. Same as before with the electronics but this time there is no clicking from the starter. The fob works to lock/unlock vehicle but this is the first time I'm feeling like the car somehow isn't recognizing the fob. I tried the fob directly on the ignition button and that did nothing. Get back to mechanic (Not Genesis or Hyundai dealership as I've had so many issues with the many dealerships in my area) they run their tests and say they changed the battery in the fob and now everything is great. They kept for a few more hours making sure it would stay running, even drove it themselves. After getting the car back everything feels fine.
Yesterday, i come to a quick stop at red light. Car stalls when I come to a complete stop. I tried turning it back on, it did with no problems, I told myself its fine. I go to the gas station maybe 3 hours later. Car won't turn back on. Electronics are on but the car definitely isn't recognizing the fob.
The last 2 times the brake pedal wouldn't go in nor would it go into neutral. The car in the past has told me when a fob battery was low or if I was having some other issue, if nothing else the check engine light would come on. I'm at a loss and I need my car to do my job. (I'm a rideshire driver and y'all would get a kick out of the things people say when they get in- so many stories)
I'm trying to think if there's anything else I need to include. The alternator, battery and starter have all tested fine. No engine/transmission issues that I'm aware of. I'm good about changing oil, mileage maintenance and tires, stuff like that.
Thank you for anything that will help.
