  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2015 clunks slightly when put into reverse gear. Just wanted to see if this was normal as other cars I have driven (non-Genesis) did not do this. Other gears shift smoothly without any clunks.

I took it to the dealer who stated the condensation in the tail lamp may have caused it (this was a separate issue that I had). However, after fixing the tail lamp, the problem still persists.

Never heard that problem discussed on this forum in relation to the Genesis, with 3 different transmissions since 2009.

I had that problem on a used 1970 Ford Maverick when I was in college.

Take to dealer and test drive (with service advisor) similar car on the lot to see if this is something that can be replicated if they give you the "We cannot replicate speech"... I don't have this issue with my 5.0...
