  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) Indicator
Light
This indicator light illuminates:
• Once you set the Engine Start/Stop
button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
• When there is a malfunction with
the ESC system.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded products.

Were you in a really bad rainstorm by chance?

Could be a bad wheel sensor or a more serious problem related to the brake system such as the ABS module.

You will need to have the ECU trouble codes read to determine the exact cause of the error message.

No codes on OBD i assume it’s just some sensor. For example you will merge on the highway, and the traction control light will start blinking and no matter how far down you press the gas it won’t accelerate.

Light stays on it’s not the traction control light it’s a warning light saying “Check ESC”

Probably a wheel speed sensor, I had one fail on my 2015 and it lit the Christmas lights. I lost ESC, TC, AWD, ACC and BSM. It was snowing that day when I took it to the dealer... without ESC, TC and AWD, it basically left me with RWD and an open rear diff.... it was like driving my old 91 Foxbody 5.0L in the snow... wasn't fun... lol

when it failed was there ever a time where you pressed the gas, and it didn’t go.
