5.0 Rev Hang

Is this normal for the 5.0?
I didn't notice it until I put it in neutral and it's pretty bad.

Put it in neutral and rev the engine. After letting go of the gas petal the engine "hangs" at the higher rpm before going down. Now that I've had some time to think, it was more annoying because my VW was a stick shift. I was just wondering if this is a normal for the 5.0's. Mines a 2018 if that matters.

How long is it "hanging"? There's always some intrinsic pause at the top because of the momentum of the drive shaft.

I never revved the engine in neutral /park. I will try next time I take her out. I just turned 38k and she runs and idles so smooth ... Love this V8 !
