Precisely what are you talking about? Is this normal for the 5.0?
I didn't notice it until I put it in neutral and it's pretty bad.
Solutions?
Not sure what you are talking about? I have a 15 5.0.Rev Hang.
I've had it before on my VW vehicles.
Put it in neutral and rev the engine. After letting go of the gas petal the engine "hangs" at the higher rpm before going down. Now that I've had some time to think, it was more annoying because my VW was a stick shift. I was just wondering if this is a normal for the 5.0's. Mines a 2018 if that matters. Not sure what you are talking about? I have a 15 5.0.

More so with the engine fly wheel! How long is it "hanging"? There's always some intrinsic pause at the top because of the momentum of the drive shaft.
I'll take a short video of it tomorrow. Can we post videos on here? How long is it "hanging"? There's always some intrinsic pause at the top because of the momentum of the drive shaft.

I never revved the engine in neutral /park. I will try next time I take her out. I just turned 38k and she runs and idles so smooth ... Love this V8 !Put it in neutral and rev the engine. I read that the new version sources from Google in real time.As the subject says - getting attached messages after manually updating (May maps/update) the car. I let the Maps/MM OTA expire, b/c I don't mind doing this manually and I see little value in paying for it - but NOW, with this latest update, it seems to indicate that it uses online only and falls back to off-line maps only for connectivity issues... and even though (I checked) the Map OTA subscription doesn't say anything about this feature, I'm wondering - anyone else see these msgs? Or, am I the only one who let the Maps OTA subscription lapse? I _did_ dbl-check with the USB, says it's the same version as to what I have.

Right - that is why I'm suspecting the map OTA subscription right now be a requirement, but so far customer support says noI read that the new version sources from Google in real time.
I’d be interested in seeing that cost comparison, if you have it available.@SuperKing is hitting the nail right on the head here. These big 27" panoramic displays are a cost saving measure masquerading as cutting edge luxury.
It's way cheaper for a manufacturer to source one big glass panel from an electronics supplier than it is to design, wire, and fit a beautifully integrated dashboard with physical analog clusters, custom bezels, and hidden vents.
Just got a call and email with video showing issues. The video shows the voltage measured at the electrical connections to be as expected in the service manual. They are quoting him $8,000 to replace the "MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING MODULE". The car is only worth $9000 sold to an individual in great condition, and much less if traded in. It doesn't make sense to replace the steering module at this price. My first stab at it would be to disconnect the electrical connections related to the unit and inspect for corrosion. Clean them up with some de-ox spray and maybe put a little dielectric grease on the seals on the connectors and then re-mate them. See if that makes any difference with the issue. Are the under-covers still installed? I've heard of problems developing with the steering when the undercover is left off.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Genesis GV70! What did the GV70 replace for you? I'm glad you found us.Good afternoon! Just purchased a 2026 Genesis GV70. My first Genesis, hopefully it will be a good experience!![]()
The UX is a nice car - but the GV70 - that's a big upgrade. Congratulations! Lexus does have a great reputation for reliability - though I've found they're always quite late to the game when it comes to technology. Probably one of the reasons their vehicles has so few issues. They want until every other brand has worked out the bugs...We replaced a 2019 Lexus UX 200! We bought it new, and was a terrific no problem car!. Hoping we get a similar experience with the Genesis!![]()
Some thoughts for you based on my experience.Thrilled to be part of this family and looking forward to contributing and sharing my thoughts regarding Genesis! I just purchased a 2024 G90 with 29k (non-CPO) and I'm amazed and pleased with the vehicle. Took the car to the local Genesis dealer for a recall; no issues, and the job was done perfectly (I really like this Genesis dealer service department). Anyway, the finance department quoted me almost $5k for a next 5-year extended warranty or 75k, but I still have almost 3 years and 20k miles of manufacturer warranty left on it. When's a good time to shop for an extended warranty, and from whom? TIA!#Family #Thoughts #Genesis #Vehicle #Recall #Service #Warranty #Miles
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! It looks like you're getting some great advice relating to extending the warranty on your Genesis G90. By the way, what did the G90 replace for you? It's really a beautiful car. In my opinion, and I really am not biased, it is the nicest full-size premium luxury sedan available outside of a Rolls Royce or Bentley.Thrilled to be part of this family and looking forward to contributing and sharing my thoughts regarding Genesis!
