  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm searching for available 2015 Genesis' online and many times the site either doesn't advertise the car has the Ultimate package or it falsely advertises it. Is there a distinguishing feature, like a button on one of the switch panels where I would be able to tell if it's indeed a 5.0 with the Ultimate package? Some feature that says "if the car has this, it's an Ultimate".

I don't know that you can tell from the exterior photos. The HUD is the immediately obvious interior feature that the Ultimate has that the regular V8 doesn't have.

If you can see an interior shot look at the screen. The Ultimate has a 9.2" screen, and there's a black bezel around the smaller one.

Also, since the Ultimate package is the only option on the 5.0 the price can be a good indicator. Many dealerships will list special/sale/internet/etc pricing that won't exactly match the MSRP, but they should have a couple of 5.0s that are listed at about $3,000 more than the rest. Those are most likely the Ultimates.

Lastly, spend a Sunday looking at the cars on the lot while the dealerships are closed. You'll be able to see the window stickers, and the colors can look a lot different in person than they do in photos.

Also, look at the center console between the seats. Only the Ultimate package has the dial.

If you're searching online other than setting a filter the best way to check if a car is a 5.0 ultimate is by the MSRP. It should be $55k.

Read the window sticker to see the included option packages.

Really? Only the Ultimate package gets you the 9.2" screen on the 5.0?

Yes. My window sticker lists the 8" display under Standard Features, and the Premium DIS Nav with 9.2" display under the ultimate package.
