  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings all. Potentially getting a 2015 5.0. First mod will be suspension and prefer to get coilovers. Searched but don’t see much out there. Think BC only has them for 3.8s. Found some Megan Racing coilovers but wanted to get some pics and opinions first. Are there any other brands out there? Please post up if anybody on here has them. Many thanks.

I believe a few on here have installed coilovers, I think most have lowered with springs though

Here is my 2015 5.0 on Megan Racing Coilvers. I love the way the car sits and ride. Also my car is RWD.

Heck yeah! Considered me sold! Thx!
Glad to be able to help. I hope you can get a set easily. I waited a few months to get mine because Megan had to build them. I would say I waited close or around 3 months. Check out redline360 website. Hopefully they have them available. Good luck my dude.

I'd consider coilovers or just regular shocks to replace my adaptive ones when the time comes - but they probably wouldn't come with a way to shut off the warning in the cluster like some of the kits that are out for the Mercedes AirMatic replacement.

I may do the same when my adaptive shocks fail if the prices do not go down from $600 a shock. We may have to use inline resistors to trick the system when using passive shocks; if the system is not too smart for such a simple bypass.

Most likely; I would probably just buy the stock shocks if the old shocks fail with over 100k miles of use.

Looks good, but it would not be usable at that height on the roads in my commuting area and probably ride like crap compared to what I am used to.

The lowered ride height and stance makes for some good profiling pics though.:)

Hey John,

I just got these coilovers installed on my 2015 genesis 5.0, The shop that installed and did the alignment said i need adjustable front control arms because they couldn't get the camber aligned properly. Did you have to install new control arms? Should I have them raise it a little to get the camber aligned?

I didn’t have to get control arms for mine. I can’t really tell how low your car is but if you think raising it it up would help you should. I didn’t have any issues with my alignment.
