  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My local dealer finally found a V-6 w/Tech package in Titanium Grey w/Black interior - I will close on it Tuesday!!!

They are transporting it from 315 miles away without charge (representative of a tough economy for selling cars I guess). Here is my tentative plan:

Tuesday - Close deal and apply Wing to back of car (still debating whether to put one on the front but leaning towards doing so)

Wednesday - Have Radar detector hard wired in vehicle and get windows tinted

Thursday - Take pics and post them on the board!

Question for those of you considering adding the chrome strips on the sides... Would you have the dealer install them? I am assuming that it would be too difficult to do myself and position them correctly? Kind of wish Jwaters943 had already done that too so I could copy every aspect of his set-up..;)

Cool!!!!

Can't wait to see the pics. I look forward to hearing how the radar detector hardwire install goes.

As for the chrome mouldings, I'm waiting for someone else to be the gineau pig on that one. ;) I'm hoping it's easy, but I'm fearful that it might be difficult to remove and install (and I'm a bit worried I'll damage something). I think I would let the dealer handle it, unless you're experienced with stuff like this.

The anticipation mounts...

Viking I am sure Tuesday cannot come fast enough. In addition to the chrome strips, is anyone considering the chrome onlays for the door posts?

I should get my wing badge on Monday.

You forgot Friday.......Road trip to North Dakota to see North Dakota Bro :D

Gipp,

No, I bought the 9500ix. It was hard enough to shell out $500 - I think the ci is about $1,600! I will have to do without the laser defense..

Similar to copying everything on Jwaters943's set-up with the wings, etc, I am copying another guy's radar detector set-up. I never would have thought that a radar detector site could support as much conversation but then again, I never posted to a board before I joined this one!

This guy has a sweet radar set-up that I will imitate (except for the speaker) - if the genesis has an empty fuse slot to place the mute switch:

*I am referring to the radar up high, not the 2nd one lower on his dash:

Since you got the Tech package there are no empty slots to the left of the steering wheel for the mute button. Either way, I hope it goes smoothly.
