Info HERE , according to this the G70 is a near luxury sedan, what does that mean, good , but not fancy enough to be anything but, LOL.

I really have my mind set on a 2020 G80 if it rocks, with the 3.3 and a tune, I'm interested in what that near luxury SUV will bring to the table.

Actually you have the title of your thread wrong. The article says “Six Genesis Models By 2021, ‘Exciting Body Styles’ To Follow” not 2020 and folks should also notice it’s under the category rumors. I only point this out because folks will in the future constantly refer to these dates as fact and then get excited when it does come true exactly.

That being said I do agree with you that it will be interesting to see what the SUVs look like whenever they appear.

it appears they are about 2 years behind their goals. makes sense since the crap and lawsuits with the dealer networks took 2 years to fix

Let's hope the 3.5T engine is ready to launch w/ the new G80.

The compact lux segment has traditionally also been labeled the entry or near-lux as it also encompasses vehicles like the Lexus ES (and let's face it, the compact models, including the Germans, didn't exactly have luxury-grade interiors until very recently).

2020 seems doable (at least for the Korean launch) for everything except maybe the coupe.

Aussie publications are reporting that they should be getting the new G80 and the GV80 sometime during the first half of 2020, so Korean launch of both models later this year seems to be still on the schedule.

And from everything that have heard, the GV70 will launch about half a year or so after the GV80, so that means at least a Korean launch by 2020.

Makes sense as we have seen later stage prototypes of the GV80 being tested, as well as a GV70 mule.

Nothing yet about the coupe, so can see that falling into 2021 (Korean launch), as well as the GV60 (which was added later to the roadmap).

An interesting thing of note, Fitzgerald in an interview, stated that the timeline btwn the Korean launch and that for other markets will be reduced (typically has been 5-6 months.

So if the G80 and GV80, indeed, see a Korean launch later this year, we may be seeing them sooner than initially expected.
