Been here awhile...
My 2009 4.6 with tech just passed 75k this week.
Not quite 3 years old. (build date 8/2008 purchase data 1/30/2009)
Highlights
No service costs beyond normal scheduled maintenance
I change the oil every 5k using full syn.
I replaced the stock tires by choice (for a dedicated summer tire)
1 drive line issue
an engine misfire.
Dealer took no action, cleared the code.
I will call this use error. I started the car in the cold, didn't warm it up and shutdown after moving it 50 feet, on restart it misfired. It is important to allow this engine to idle until the fast idle is done. (20 seconds on very cold days)
Rides as new.
No rattles (First car I have owned to 75k rattle free). This is the biggest issue I have that forces me to trade cars. Generally cars last me 2 years before little rattles and other build issues force me to trade in. I haven't even replaced the suspension's rubber bushings. Which I usually have to replace around 36k as the suspension gets so sloppy.
Interior wearing well.
I am a large man 6Ft 230Lbs, I tend to stress the drivers set to failure early.
So far the driver's seat is holding up very well. light stress marks .
The remainder of the interior is as new.
Electronics - the only flaw
I enjoy the stereo, sound is the best of any car I have been in, the Infiniti system in the M56 is close.
The driver set memory position doesn't seem to hold information if not used for a few months.
A few issues have raised
1. Back up camera intermittent failure
No fix, dealer could not "see" the problem.
Hasn't happened in over 6 months.
The problem happens randomly , putting car in reverse will result in a dark screen.
2. Total head unit failure.
No fix, dealer could not "see" the problem
Has happened 3 times in 3 years of ownership.
Start the car and no radio/xm/cd/dvd/AUX unit will work.
Letting the car sit for a couple of hours resolves the issue.
Summary: The best car I have owned, The longest I have held onto a car in past 9 cars. I have and would recommend this to anyone looking for a large touring sedan.
