  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

$7500 back on a lease??

It should basically be the same process as what @Grayson73 outlined above which was first reported by @acadapter back at the beginning of the year, provided you're dealing with Genesis Finance, not a 3rd party bank that is handling the lease.
The GV70 is made in Alabama, so it may qualify for the rebate in a sale

It's not listed as a line item, but it is included in the buyout quote that's generated in your Genesis Finance account (purchase option + sales tax), which is the adjusted unpaid lease balance you saw. If you call Genesis Finance, they can break it down for you.
I thought about calling them...but my actuals and my estimates came out within $25, so I figured I should just let that pass. (y)

I actually had 2 $300 fees, but I didn't know what the 2nd one was for. I decided to let it go.

That second fee was charged erroneously. My GV60 I purchased with the tax credit still eligible (grandfathered date) but my Ioniq 5/Ioniq 6 were purchased using the aforementioned Lease loophole originally discovered.

The second $300 was not present on the i5 and it was because the buyout quote was generated after the original payment was credited (took about a week). The I6 was generated as soon as I walked out the dealer and their computer system (HCA/HMF) isn't programmed properly to adjust.

I made the full payoff payment via an overnighted check and HMF wouldn't cash it until I forked over $300 more than my quote. I escalated through consumer affairs, who ran through the calculations, corrected the bottom line, closed my account and promptly mailed me my title.
