  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I can't believe I missed this - but welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. What did the GV80 Coupe replace for you? Oh and just so you know, we don't have a separate section for the Coupe. Not sure we need it or if it would be wanted - but if so, I can make it happen. I'm afraid that some important topics could be missed if separated, however. Many people say in one spot or another - and information they may need may not be in the spot they hang out at/in...

Hey there - all good! Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a separate Coupe section... But, im new to the brand. Maybe there's im guessing, not enough or any distinction form the Coupe vs regular 80? Replaced a Porsche 2024 Cayenne ( which I saw today at the Hyundai dealer when trying to chase down a phantom software update ). The Cayenne replaced a 2024 Macan GTS. Both Porsche's too buggy software wise and ive been a little stressed with all this update stuff on the Genesis. And now, my iPhone keeps wanting me to sign in !!! TOO MUCH TECH. Thanks for the follow up - Cheers

Yes, the thing about making two separate forums for the vehicle is let's say somebody is experiencing what turns out to be a common problem with the GV80. It goes ten pages long and there are various solutions discussed within. Then, a year later, somebody posts about the same problem with their GV80 Coupe - but since the problem was resolved long ago in the discussion in the non-Coupe section - it doesn't get all the same great answers. OR - if it did get a bunch of good answers - now there would need to be two discussions to review for what is basically the same vehicle with a slightly different appearance.

So! How does the Genesis GV80 compare to the Porsche Cayenne (besides the electrical glitches)? The Porsche Macan would be a better comparison to the Genesis GV70. But GTS, huh? Nice vehicle......

So far hard to tell performance wise - still only a couple of hundred miles on it and break in to 1200 miles I’m told. Seats very comfortable and I like the adjustable bolsters. Getting use to the layout. Like the electric back seats. A lot of technology and if I can figure out this OTA not working I’ll be better. Can wait to drive a little more in sport mode. May sound silly, but I really like the fact that the center arm rest splits in half. How many times Ived busted my arm trying to access center console where the lid only opens to 90 degrees! Looks like plenty of room below tray too for my personal protection gear! It’s nice too to be able to get into a car without always having to turn off the radio too - Porsches always was on AND the damn Porsche ALWAYS turned up our phone ringers so every time we’d get out and then get a phone call, the ringer was always 100% - loud & annoying.

So far, so good - and keep us posted. Wow, that must have been really annoying regarding the radio and phone ringers...
