Over the years, my 2014 3.8 has had an intermittent A/C. I’ve just come to realize it may be due to excessive cabin temps. When parked in the garage (or shade) the A/C works fine…..but when parked outdoors (solar gain making the cabin temp brutal) the unit OFTEN fails to blow any cold air. Each time the A/C fails, I assume the cabin temp is too hot and that maybe a sensor is preventing the unit from working. Last week with the car parked in the drive all day I headed to a store about 7 miles one way. The A/C never came on round-trip. But did the next morning when the day was not yet hot.
