If you'd read my message, I luv my Genny....NOT HAC Canada. All clear ?
And my continuing Bluetooth problem is completely detailed elsewhere. NOT the phone, but the car ! And guess what, a large number of people are still having Bluetooth problems that are NOT getting resolved with REFURBISHED 'stuff' from Hyundai !!
And NO, don't work for or want, a Toyota. Just some support from HAC.
1. You are correct there are a lot of blue tooth problems. In further truth some caused by the car and some by the phones. Most just need a good tech. I suggest that you might look in the phone book for a place like Best Buy that has a stereo shop doing installs, some times those guys can get a phone to hook up. If you use Skype or just want to give me a call I'll try and help you. I have done quite a few and may, cant be positive but may be able to help.
2. Some folks THINK their dealer is great because he has fixed their problem, but have not yet given them a problem that tests their metal. It's kind of like Doctors, everyone love theirs until he kills them.
3. Brand loyalty has no bounds, Look at all the people crying over Pontiac's, (that will get me a lot of replies) If you get a good one the car is great, if a bad one the car is bad. In this case the lack of tech ability and STUPIS SELF SERVING policies of the dealership make the problem bad. At my Mercedes dealership, I am invited to come back into the shop area escorted by the head of the service department whenever I feel the tech is not getting my problem either explained to him or dealing with it correctly. Hyundai needs to spend some money training their techs, Nissan is not a lot better. I have found that only Caddy, Mercedes, Volkswagen andAudi seem willing to make the investment required to have top notch shops.
4. Some folks take a personal offense that seems to relate to a lack of self confidence. If you criticize their selection then you are demeaning them. That is not the case you are venting about a frustration related to your incident and it does not have anything to do with them or their dealer or their car or their decision in buying it. I criticize my cars ride, it does not mean others cars must also ride bad but that mine does. My dealer says it is as designed and in my opinion if that is the case they are spreading the problem to the design and that may or may not be true. Enough! You all are aware of my feeling and the reactions I have received to it. A lot like what you are experiencing.
5. I am not fully apprised of the details of your problem: Lack of connection (bonding) , lack of clarity, losing bonding, muting of entertainment system during call, etc. etc. I have a couple of questions. Have you tried another phone? Do any other phones work, If not do they all suffer the same malady, etc., have you gone to a stereo shop and tried to get the problem studied/ etc. I know you should not have to do these things but if you want the phone to work with the bluetooth you may have too.
6. The result of your problems will not be eased by other say negative things to you but by the Bluetooth working, if Hyundai does not do that then they will fail in keeping you as a customer and it will add to their woes of not be perceived as a luxury car manufacturer. Pretty design is only skin deep, BUT we know these guys are very insulated from the person that counts the customer, take Toyota and GM and Chrysler as good examples. AND by the way FORD's moniker of Fix Or Repair Daily was earned.
7. I wish you luck but that will not do much good but this group does not evidently have the expertise to help fix the problem and the emotions seem unsupportive which I personally think is a shame. I would like to see fellow forum members try to help each other solve problems and leave off commenting about the non technical aspects of the problems.
