  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A few features I wish I had (or haven't found yet)

When I said the auto wipe was a disaster, the interactive control with the speed adjustment is what I meant.

You can play with the control all you want - the auto wipe still does pretty much what it wants to. A simple manual control would suit me much better. In short, I can decide what wiper speed I need far better than the auto fn.

The auto sensor wipers also hop into fast mode too easily, when slow is good enough. Give me the old intermittent wipers like I have on my Santa Fe Sport.

I agree with you about the speed adjustment. I've never had a car with auto-wipers that were better than adjusting them manually. I'd like to have an option to control them manually (meaning true manual adjustment of the rate, not the auto sensitivity), so that people can choose whether they prefer auto or manual.

I like the auto wipers. I view thwe adjustment as a sensitivity adjustment and find it works well.

this is a luxury sedan, not a sports car. the Genesis coupe has those things available, but it is a sports car

I don't honestly see the difference. Both car types have oil pressure and battery charging systems. They are fundamentals to the cars health. I still would have thought monitoring these systems would be useful.

BTW, I find the auto wipe works really well, and I'm really pleased with it. All the automatic systems are very impressive.

On some VW models the "static cornering lights" are actually the fog-lights that come on on one side when you turn the wheel (thus "cornering lights").

At the risk of boring you all to death, I found out what these "static cornering lights" are, by actually looking at what happens. :)
When the steering wheel is turned a certain amount, a separate light bulb in the light cluster illuminates and it is angled to face outwards by about 45°. Blooming marvellous.
All the time I find something new with this car.

cornering lights on Hyundai/KIA are really good thing. they are in the front lights and they are lightening exactly where you want.
on VW the cornering lights are the fog ones, and the fog light cannot light up really the 40 degree area.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I would have liked to have seen an output value showing the charging rate to the battery, and a battery condition voltage or percentage charged. I do a lot of short trips, and I'd like to see if I'm flattening the battery.
Also an oil pressure value. Would be fun to have a little 'Engineers Panel' on the LCD.

I have not tried it on the Genny yet, but you may be able to get these readings on your phone by getting a cheap OBD bluetooth dongle and an app to connect to it, for example Torque. The links below are examples, there are plenty of alternatives.
