  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A local shopping center has some tight parking, so I
cheated over two free spaces. Came back, loaded the
cargo, got in and fixed to get going when I saw a
figure approaching from the passenger side. Looked up
and saw a security guy. I thought "Oh, well. I'm going
to get dinged for taking two places." Ran down the
passenger window and the gent about my age leans over.
"Is this a Bentley?"

The security guy had the right attitude. I always ask Genesis drivers if it is a Bentley.

Especially if they are hogging two parking spots.

The only thing better than that is when I pulled up along side a guy in new Bentley at a stop light. He glanced over and checked my car out, but I don't think he was amused. I made sure to pull ahead of him when the light turned green so he could check out my wings.

Re: A Genesis story--I own a Bentley and a Genesis....

I am kind of amused at these stories of how some folks assume our Genesis
cars are Bentleys, and note that it most likely happens for those who remove
their "H" badges and replace them with the winged Genesis logo. Still, this
logo does not have the "B" that all Bentley logos have, and our cars do not
have that fake Bentley look that the Chrysler 300 has. My Genesis for now
will proudly wear the Hyundai "H," as I consider the car a testament to how
far the Korean car industry has come. I traded in a 2003 BMW 525i on my
Genesis, and consider it to be a greater value than anything that BMW is
making these days..... Plus I didn't want the headaches of run flat tires and
I drive, and the new stop start technology may prove hard on BMW engines
and their reliability. My Beemer handled a little better than the Genesis, but
the 3.8 is much quicker and I enjoy all the new tech features that my BMW
lacked. As for the Bentley, it is a 1993 Bentley Brooklands, with 40,000
miles, and oozes the charm and luxury of a hand built automobile. But as
a daily driver it is lacking, and I could never afford a new Bentley, LOL. I
hope that most other posters here are confirmed car nuts like myself!
