While driving, I notice there's a bit of a lag between the time when I depress the pedal and the car accelerates. Is this normal? Can it be adjusted?

Holy BACK FROM THE DEAD THREAD...... with advice none the less lol
But what was the advice? A few weeks ago I decided to pass a farm vehicle on a two lane road. As soon as I pulled out, I saw a car in the distance so I hit the pedal as fast and hard as I could. There was more of a lag than I would have expected or liked, but once the car responded I was really moving and passed without a problem. My heart raced a bit too.![]()
I replaced my air filter with K&N and have not noticed any lag under sudden exceleration since the change. This is not an endorsement, just my experience.
