  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just an i got an email from Keith Ozzimo at AccuAir suspensions, and i was asking about a full coilover/bag kit for the sedan since they carry one for the coupe and this is what he told me....(copied and pasted from my email)

"I just came across your message about a kit for the 2012 Genesis Sedan. We actually have a shop that is testing out the TWR kit for the Genesis Sedan as we speak. We should have installation photos throughout the entire process, so I will definitely keep you posted on the process! When are you hoping to get started?"

You are correct. I also got a call from him end of last week about them currently testing a kit on a car. He hasn't told me when it will be available yet though. I have requested installation photos and pics of the actual kit on the test vehicle. I'll update this thread as well when I get updates. Just my luck I just purchased the AirForce kit a day before I got contacted.

Keith just emailed me and told me.....

" I think we should have word some time next week on the fitment. If everything checks out, we can have these kits ready in large quantities within 2-3 weeks."

so im thinking worse case, end of the month.....we will see

Naive to air suspension mod... Any links for both companies mentioned in the threads? Anyone you guys know who have done this and vouch for the mod? Thanks. 2012 TAU 5.0

as of now, there are no links, but as soon as i hear something or get a pic, i will posted it....

Im sure the price will be pretty high up there but I'm interested to see what they say. The sedan is pretty easy to bag, especially if you already have megan coil overs. Forjworks brackets up front and dcup brackets in rear then add whatever management you want and done. No welding needed except for maybe the ball mount on the e-level arm. Hopefully I'm on air by the end of the month or so

$2250 for just the bags according to the email I got. Picture was a stock pic of the TWR series bags. Management is separate. E-level with touch pad is around $2k but there are many options to choose from. My management was a shade above $3k but it's got all the options. Dual comps, EXo mounts, I-level etc.

Yeah, i had a feeling they would pretty much be the same price and im suremost people dont realize you have to buy management on top of it. To me i have always kinda disliked the steups like twr and shockwave because your at the mercy of that same setup if things need to be replaced and at a higher cost.

So any clue of where your mounting your stuff Xiaphin? I want to maximize trunk space and im playing with a few options so far.

To me there is only one place for my system to go which would be all the way back in the trunk in the narrow section. The width is perfect for my 5 gallon tank and dual compressors. Also want to retain access to the spare tire so I am building a whole new floor for the trunk. Trickier than at first glance and will have to be 5 different sections with out area elevated 1.5" due to difference in height from back to front of the trunk. Have pics but should discuss this on a new thread and shouldn't jack this one.

Where are you mounting your stuff? I will start a thread for users who are actually putting air ride on their car.

There are 2 users on here who i know of that are on air. Check the links xiaphin posted, some really quality companies. People have been doing air ride for quite some time and I've seen properly installed setups last longer than the vehicle. I had a truck on air with a full 4link rear end and drove it daily for 6 years with not one issue. Also think of all the semi trucks you see on the road and the huge firestone bags they have, well those things pretty much last the life of the average semi. So literally hundreds of thousands to million of miles.

Thanks. I do support air ride. Have had couple Ford Expeditions and three Crown Vics with factory air springs. Worked flawlessly for many many years for family and offspring.

Very nice indeed

I got some pics as well. To me wheels look more like VIP modular VRC110's. I have another pic of car in my email, can post later. Keith send you any other pics of install? My Air Force bags showed up yesterday, I'll be adding info to the air suspension thread in a few days.

just received the same pictures , yes vip modulars.

is the airforce suspension kit going to be the same as the TWR kit, bolt on with no mods needed ?

Air Force Suspension currently offers the only bolt on kit until the Accuair Kit becomes available. Having dealt with "bolt on" components before I'm sure there will be minor modifications required. Need to post my pics of the kit as well as my build.
