  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Adapters will be free

I read Kia's announcement and Hyundai's.

Kia's says free to EV6/EV9 owners who took delivery prior to 9/4/24. All others have to pay as well as all Niro owners. KIA AMERICA TO OFFER NORTH AMERICAN CHARGING STANDARD (NACS) ADAPTERS IN EARLY 2025

Crazy that EV6/EV9 owners are treated worse than original Ioniq and Kona owners lol. Crazy that EV6/EV9 owners are treated worse than original Ioniq and Kona owners lol

Technically it says that details about how Genesis will participate in the program will be announced early next year.

I would hope they would also give out free adapters, but we will have to wait and see. The statement below is not definitive.

"The Genesis luxury brand is also today announcing its participation in the program, with details to be revealed early next year."

I read it differently. It does say Genesis is also participating (free) with details (how to redeem) early next year.

Free or not. Expect to wait an Longgggggggggggg time to receive one.

That’s the primary reason I went ahead and bought an A2Z adapter.

I'll wait to see what Genesis provides, whenever it provides it. I'm preparing myself for disappointment, as so far, Genesis Canada hasn't worried about providing less than Genesis USA or Hyundai/Kia Canada.
We don't get free charging with purchase, US Genesis owners do - as do Canadian Hyundai/Kia owners. HDA2 - available on H/K vehicles in 2023, but not Genesis. Phone as key - available in the US, but not Canada.

DC fast charging is quickly evolving. We'll see a mix of NACS and CCS chargers and sites with adapters for the next few years. I'm not worried about needing an adapter. I've got a few very conveniently located EC chargers along my most common road trip route, and the Magic Dock Superchargers I've attempted delivered very low charge rates, so I don't anticipate needing to use one any time soon.
