  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 3.8 AWD w/Signature package. (Not the DIS Ultimate system)
I have sent a couple of addresses using the Bluelink Google send to car feature.

I can find those and input as a destination, but if I cannot add them to the address book, or favorite places. The add to address book button is grayed out.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

I have the ultimate and have the same problem and I have not been able to find a way around it. I was able to do this in my 2012 Sonata, I guess they "improved" the system to the point where it won't work anymore.

Thanks for the reply. IIRC, I could do this on the 2013 Azera. I did not keep that part of the Blue-link subscription past the first 90 days. I'm still on the fence about that. The VR on the NAV is so bad that I may renew.

On another note, I think I'd get more traction posting in the dislikes forum. That seems to be the correct tread for general questions. :D

There is not a direct way to do it. You have to set it as a destination. Once it is a destination, you can save it in your address book as a previous destination. It is kind of obtuse.

Is your radio the NON DIS (Signature or Tech)?
Can you be a bit more specific on what to do after having set the POI as destination?

In my case, those addresses are not showing as a previous destination. The only way I see them is in the downloaded POI's.

Thanks!

It has been a while and I will have to dink with it again to get the precise steps. I remember I had to take a sideways approach.

Next time I get in the car, I'll look at it and report back.

Ok, I verified that I could recall a POI sent to my navigation system and put in as a destination. Once I select it as a destination, I can then add it to my address book.

OK - I'll give that another shot! Thank you for the reply.

DFWGenny-

I tried this today, and while I can add addresses that I input manually or by VR, I cannot add the ones from Google POI sent to car. Those are grayed out in the menu. If you scan through previous addresses, there appear to be blank lines, but if you touch them, you can see the Google POI's as a dark gray on a black background. You cannot select them.

My question for you.... have you subscribed to the Bluelink Nav package? I'm still on my trial, and I'll only consider renewing this if once I am a paid subscriber, I can add the sent POI's to an address book.

(To be clear.... I have added the POI's as a destination first. They only show in in the downloaded POI section)
