  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Advice On Tint

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Got a question on what's the darkest Formula One Pinnacle tint I can get and be legal in GA. Here is the wording from their statutes:

"Which has material and glazing applied or affixed to the rear windshield or the side or door windows, which material and glazing when so applied or affixed reduce light transmission through the windshield or window to less than 32 percent, plus or minus 3 percent, or increase light reflectance to more than 20 percent."

Based on the spec sheet, I'm thinking Pinnacle 30 should be legal because the VLT is 33%.

Taking into account the VLT of the glass itself (which is not close to being clear) then it would be Pinnacle 35. The reason the law is written that way (33% plus or minus 3 percent), is to make 35% legal after it is applied to the glass. But you probably could get by with Pinnacle 30 if you wanted to take a slight risk. So long as your car looked respectable (no crazy after-market wheels, etc) they are not likely to stop you. But if your Genesis is pimped out, and your tint is not legal, then be careful where you drive.
