Driving down the interstate a huge chunk of ice came off the car ahead of me and cracked my grill and the clear plastic piece above the license plate. Also the AEB warning light and amber triangle appeared on the dash along with chimes. My Hyundai dealer doesn’t have a body shop so took it to a Toyota body shop. The warnings and alerts come on randomly, sunny days with no one in front of me. Had the grill, bumper cover and plastic replaced. Still comes on and Toyota checked and found nothing wrong. Called my dealer and he said since it’s intermittent he may not be able to fix it. They will not replace the sensor unless they find a code saying it is. The odds of it coming on while turning into the dealership are not good. So what can I do? What if I had just bought the car? They would have to fix it or give me my money back under lemon law? Where is the sensor?
