  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone experienced this issue where the warning light came on? The lights still automatically swivel up and down when the car is started, but I'm not sure if they are turning left and right as I steer the car (hence the warning light). Entire headlight housing from dealer is about $1300 each, you can probably buy a cheap car with the cost of pair of lights.
My question is, could it be something else that's more economical to repair/replace instead of the entire headlight housing? I think the dealer noted it is the actuator...is that the same as the AFLS module? This is not a critical tech., the last resort I would like is to just disable the warning light, if anyone know how...

An actuator would be inside the headlight housing. I suspect that there are two or more in each housing. I would have suggested using a good scan tool to narrow down the fault, but it sounds like that has already happened (by the dealer)?

I'm going back to the dealer for a more thorough scan since I felt the initial scan they did (or not) was their typical tactic to just have me replace the whole thing.
This is one of those unnecessary techy things that we do not need and causes more headache than convenience.

You could argue the same thing about the whole car. It's not always about "need."
