  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All. My wife is the owner of a 2012 Genesis sedan with the standard factory audio system (not Lexicon). I've recently installed a complete system, minus the head unit. Alpine Type R all around...speakers and subs. Last weekend I built a 4th order dual 12" enclosure that fires through the stock subwoofer hole (pictures attached). It all sounds pretty good, but something is "missing".

I've been installing systems (as a hobby) for nearly 20 years and I'm pretty confident that the factory head unit signal is the limiting factor. Has anyone successfully installed a single DIN aftermarket head unit in these cars? Basically I need at least 2 sets of RCA preouts, preferably at 4v or higher. Any links or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have not seen a single DIN unit installed but have not been searching for one either. The only direct replacement unit I am aware of is the Unavi but it replaces the whole unit including controls and is a touch screen.

Unavi x5

Yeah, I contacted Unavi and its not suitable for my application. Its unfortunate.
