  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Great review! Thanks for sharing. I agree w/ many of your sentiments. I have no regrets not getting the V8 and only a slight bit of regret not waiting for the Tech Package. I don't care about the cooled seat (it's only hot enough to justify using it 2-3 months out of the year) or parking sensors (I hate the way they look), but I would have liked HIDs and NAV. To me though, the $4k savings was worth it.

My aftermarket NAV has been pretty good so far FWIW. :)

*HUGE FAVOR REQUEST*:

Can someone w/ the Tech Package please measure the bottom of your armrest as well as the center console opening and if possible take a pic of the underside of the armrest? I would like to see if it is possible to replace my armrest w/ the nicer double compartment center armrest that comes on the Tech Package models.

Re: Moved: Aftermarket NAV

Moved from Genesis Sedan forum in order to stay on topic of original thread. Your Nav does look cool though :)

Re: Moved: Aftermarket NAV

Hey. Where's the original topic that this was split-off from? I'd like to merge jwaters943's initial comments back in and then split-off the rest. Reason being, the beginning of his post makes sense to be there and the way this one starts off will be confusing for anyone new who comes along...

Thank you...

Re: Moved: Aftermarket NAV

Guys, this really doesn't deserve it's own thread. At least not in the state of my post as it exists currently. I'm not even talking about the NAV system in 2/3 of my post.

I would have preferred if someone had sent me a PM about staying on topic and just deleted my NAV comments if they felt it was distracting. When I have time I can create a proper thread about my NAV system for those interested, but for the time being can we move my post back to Musher51's thread and just delete the NAV comments/pics?

And not to sound overly critical, but this sort of micromanagement of posts is becoming disruptive to the conversations being had by various members. I can understand the want/need to keep things organized, but there are some things I feel you might want to let slide. Just food for thought. :)

Re: Moved: Aftermarket NAV

I thought it was substantially different from the thread and brought up three different thoughts (comment on the review, pictures of a very cool aftermarket nav, and a request for measurements and pictures of the console bin).

I can easily see how the latter two could take the thread into a completely different direction from the original poster's topic. Since it's fairly easy for the moderators to carve off posts into separate topics, I think that's cleaner than PM'ing people to repost or edit their own posts.

Frankly, I think the things you bring up, J, are worthy of their own thread. I was going to pull out the digicam and ruler at lunch today :)

Hey. Could you do me a favor since I'm being pulled in 11.796 different directions at the moment? ...and re-reply to the original discussion without the "Nav" comments?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I was looking at the posting for the aftermarket NAV and would like to know where the Pioneer was installed? Any additional photos woul be great too!

I would have purchased a Genesis with the Premium and Tech package BUT I did not have enough headroom in the car with a sunroof. Still happy with the 3.8 base model!
