  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Parts and Accessories

Shows 2018 Genesis G70 and every link I clicked on didn't seem to show anything for the G70. The description on many for instance said "2015-2018 Hyundai Genesis" which doesn't make any sense. I am assuming there unfortunately won't be much info available until after the car actually starts selling in the US.

If you search ebay for Genesis G70 you will get 3 pages of cool parts and accesories but no wheels or tires but there are some very cool add ons but i will wait until they show up on amazon

Here's a site with what appears to be KDM aftermarket parts. Not many manufacturers I've heard of before, but maybe they're big in Korea. I'm not an owner, but I have to believe that G70 could be a great platform for the tuner market.

Shark Racing

I have purchased from Shark racing for my Gen Coupe, they are a reliable source. Looking through the G70 pages seems like they are just listing parts for the Gen coupe or maybe sedan that will fit the G70. I would think many of the parts for the Stinger will transfer over, particularly the engine and drive train parts. Of interest of the ECM tuning that going on over there.

I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of the aftermarket parts as they become more available and tested by owners. The G70 is sweet and smooth looking, but I can also see it looking meaner with some side skirts, front lip, and a small spoiler. I also don't think it will take long for performance parts like new chips, CAI and exhaust to show up!

Sounds like it has two different modes.

I know right? I wonder if there’s any hardware like a flap that changes in the exhaust between drive modes. I know the internal sound changes. Perhaps it’s a combination of fake sound and exhaust hardware that changes the sound between drive modes.

Can someone confirm?

Yeah, I noticed that, too. It started off sounding pretty tinny and unimpressive. At around 27 sec. it got deeper and fuller sounding until about 50 sec., when it reverted back to the tinniner sound. Then, near the end, it got throatier again. Definitely sounded like something was being altered at those transition points, like a baffle being opened/closed.

I've found a few exhausts from JUN B.L that support dual exhaust modes (ie via electronically controlled flap), so I wouldn't be surprised to see more than one out there from another brand. Here is an example, looks like it's for the 2.0 model of the G70..

JUN B.L. EVC Type Variable Dual Exhaust System for Genesis G70 2017+ [2.0L T-GDi]

Personally, I am going to wait for a US brand to make an exhaust before I buy an aftermarket one. The korean ones are very nice, but I think many US drivers prefer a slightly different sound.

Just now seeing these but Ark Performance has an exhaust for the g70s, and also lowering springs. Found most of my parts on ebay, Hi-motors and shark racing

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Ark GRiP exhaust. It has an H-pipe and an X-pipe, and I'm unsure if it's actually improving exhaust scavenging or not... There is some debate as to wether or not these solutions, when positioned post-turbo, actually help with flow or not. They do, however, give it a unique sound that tends to be easier on the ears though (which I like).

That said, the stock G70 exhaust may actually already have enough x-pipe, but it's not confirmed. Either way, Ark hasn't posted a dyno chart to prove any gains as of yet, so until they do I'll be a skeptic.
