Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. I'm installing an aftermarket sub, and the aftermarket amp has both speaker level and pre-amp level inputs. I'm tapping into the wires for the stock sub to get a speaker level signal to input into the amp, and the amp is supposed to be able to detect the signal when the stereo is on and turn on (so I don't have to run a remote wire to the fuse panel to turn on the amp).

For some reason, the amp isn't turning on like it should. Has anyone had this problem? The amp is a JL JX500/1D.
