  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apparently this was old information, so I deleted the post.

You're taking the wording too literally. All new, can mean many things...It can mean a new design but doesn't necessarily mean new redesign from the 2009/10. The 2009 description of the car was exactly the same. I haven't driven the 2011 so I can't say, but even though some people claim suspension changes from 2009/10. I couldn't tell any difference.

I'm just showing you what I received. Nothing more, nothing less. You can interpret it as you wish.
No. According to the title of your post and the content, you (or the dealer) are implying that "2011 Genesis DOES have Suspension Changes". Everyone (current owners, dealers, press, service) knows that the biggest complaint about this car is that a lot of people think it's suspension is a bit (stiff, unforgiving, harsh, sloppy, jittery). So obviously the dealer is trying to persuade you that is not the case. Not by lying to you but by directing you to some vague marketing data.

I really don't give a shit.

Maybe you should. I'm a real d-b at times, but this is completely uncalled for. You post a post that says "THE 2011 HAS SUSPENSION CHANGES" and someone points out to you that it's nonsense. You then go and respond that you're just showing us what you got? Yeah? So why the statement of fact in the title? Oh, yeah, because you were trying to tell us something, but you're wrong.

It's ok to be wrong - it's not ok to be an a-hole while doing it. It sucks that your dealer basically gave you BS marketing speak, but I can tell you with certainty that the only way to decide is to drive the car. I drove a 2009 and a 2010, and maybe it was just placebo, but I noticed a difference. I would have bought the 2009 if the 2010 wasn't the same price - it wasn't that big of a difference to warrant a few grand increase. Jus' sayin'.

Cutthroat your posts are a waste of our precious time. Don't post again until you buy the car... Then we may let you post again.

Yeah Cutthroat... why get so defensive? We are here to help each other. What is with all your "." posts to try and apologize? Sorry, buddy... my wife uses that excuse on me all the time when she is crabby and it isn't good enough.
