  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’m sure it’s been asked before, but I couldn’t find anything. My 2011’s 4.6 sedan ac seems not to want to cool in this hot heat. In the morning when it’s not so hot it works fine but when it’s over 100 sometimes it starts to blow cold but a couple of minutes later blows hot air. Refrigerant is at a good level and when it’s blowing hot air compressor is on. What could it be? Could it be the condenser is clogged or what? Any help is appreciated.

Refrigerant level
Condenser clogged
Evaporator clogged
Cabin filter
Damper not properly closing
Compressor wear
Belt slipping
Cooling fan not working

I don't know what the design parameters are but when you get over 100F, you are pushing the limits. Tinted windows help, most everyone in the sunny south has tint.

Are you using fresh air or recirc? Once cooled a bit inside, recirculating can help instead of trying to removed heat from the 100+ stuff.

It doesn’t matter what setting I have it. What south are u talking about? My wife’s car and my other car don’t seem to have a problem.
