Air Filter

Has anyone replaced their air filter with a Fram? I bought the one listed on their site and it does not fit. There is a section on the smaller end that the filter media is smaller to allow the cover to go back on properly

I've had problems with Fram air filters fitting into my old Elantra. I had to trim them to fit.

I will only use a Hyundai filter in my Genesis.

Forget the junk. Use either OEM or Wix.

mine was replaced at the dealer today for $50. Yikes! Lots of different brands at Rockauto for $10.

You can get the Hyundai OEM filter at a dealer parts dept for about $20-25. Always ask for the price before you buy (otherwise they might charge you the "list" price).

I assume the $50 included labor, but anyone should be able to read the owners manual and figure out how to change it.

Don't forget the cabin filter, which should be changed even more often than the engine air filter. Changing this filter often will keep the inside of your car smelling nicer, and your A/C will work more efficiently.

Well I contacted Fram customer service they bought a filter housing to see what I was talking about. Long story short they sent me 2 new OEM filters.
