  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

To help you guys who live in cold climates, a couple days ago, I posted that I used the A/C on an 80F day, (set on Auto) and it is one of the best A/C's that I've seen. (Hope it still does the job when the temperatures are up in the mid 90's.)

A few days ago, I also pressed the Recirculate button and when the light on that button comes on, the light on the Auto button goes off.

Well today, the temperatur got up to 85F and on my way home, in rush hour traffic, (strange smells and all) I pushed the Air Quality System button, saying to myself, "I wonder what this button with the 'A' and the circle of arrows does"? Surprise surprise. the "A" button light comes on, the Auto button light stays on, and the biggest surprise is the Reculate button comes on and off, as needed. Thats great. When the system sees that reculation is needed, the reculate comes on. When not needed, the reculation goes off.
The guys that designed the system did a great job.

I wonder if the air going through the filter located behind the glovebox is only when the Air Quality System is on, or if air always goes through that filter.

BTW, per the 85F we had in Central Florida today, I talked with my best friend in Roswell who told me that it was only 17F when he got up. Brrrrrrrr.

He probably meant 17 C, which is very comfortable. I think those aliens use the metric system.

No, it was 17F. Those Space Aliens have been here so long now, they got used to using the "American System" <grin>

Funny you should mention those Roswell Aliens. My best friend runs an Alien Shop, selling Alien T-Shirts, Coffee Cups, Stickers, Area 51 Entry Passes, etc. etc. etc.
(He just sold the shop, but he has a lot of stuff in various shops on consignment).

Area 51 Entry Passes? What is that, a tee-shirt with a bullseye on it?

It sounds like the Genesis cabin air system works like the Azera system. If so, all air circulated in the cabin passes through the filter, whether in recirc or drawn from outdoors...
