  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Turned on my car today and the light for the airbag stays on (red light). I’m thinking when it gets close to freezing temperatures outside, my genesis just decides to have a random light turn on. Last time, during freezing temps, it was the Red oil light - which went away and was no problem at all. This time, the airbag light is on. Should I take it to the dealership still? Will it be a costly issue to fix?

Does it go off when the temperature goes up? If it goes off, the dealer may not be able to find in. If they do, nothing like that is cheap to fix.

I would still try to get it scanned to see if any airbag codes are found.

Turned my car on and off a few times and still the airbag light is on. Temperature will rise tomorrow so will try again.

Scanned at the dealership, right?
Yes, or any normal shop should be able to. You could try things like Oreillys or autozone but in my expierence their code readers can’t read B DTCs so they wouldn’t be much help for an airbag light.

So I have a B1483 code called a second stage driver circuit short. My auto shop referred me to an auto electrician. So do I just take it to my original dealership. I never even heard of a specialized auto electrical shop
