  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Had this happen on my 2015 Genny a few weeks ago. It was a result of a loose connection underneath the passenger seat (air bag system tied into seat belt sensors and passenger weight sensor)

Before taking it to the dealership for warranty work I moved the passenger seat up and just wiggled some of the connections under the seat. Moving up the seat put less pressure on some of the connections.

I did this with the driver's seat too.

Restarting the car resulted the airbag light turning off. Re-adjustment of the passenger seat further backwards resulted in the light coming back on. This was repeatable.

I didn't store anything underneath the front seats but if you do happen to have stuff under the seats this is not recommended and will likely be one of the first questions and recommendations of the dealership.

The fix was that they reviewed the connections under the seat and put on a zip tie to ensure a tight connection. Haven't had a problem since!

Cheers.
