Airbag Warning Light On

I have had the same issue with a 2016 Ultimate that I got back in March. I tried moving the seat position a bit closer to the front & the airbag light is off. I had base model 2016 previously that did not have this issues. Very odd!

Sounds like one of the wires that move when the seat moves (that is related to the SRS) has an internal break, similar to the issue with the trunk. Replacing the pre-tensioner has likely been a misdiagnosis of this problem.

That's exactly what the dealership did when I told them of the problem; replace the pre-tensioner.

Those are part of the bumper-to-bumper typically.

2024 - i bought a 2015 genesis, and i'm having the same issue. airbag light is always on... not sure what to do other than try to play with the wiring under the seat
