  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How does the alarm work as I have never heard it?
On cars I have had before, the alarm would beep to indicate it was working when you locked the car.
Previously I have tested also by leaving a window open, locking the car and putting my hand in and opening the door, and the alarm sounds.
With the Genesis there is nothing
How do I test its working?

The red light flashes in the windscreen

You have to turn beep on in instrument cluster menu

okay now, I didn't wait long enough for the alarm to kick in.
If anyone wants to know, open a window then lock the car and wait for the red light on dash to flash, reach in and open the door and the alarm will go off.
There is no beep to turn on in the instrument cluster

The alarm horn is really wimpy though
