  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I know that there have been numerous posts concerning pulling problems on this forum. I have a 2012 4.6 with a pulling problem to the right. I have had the vehicle back to the dealer 3 times for the problem. Still it pulls to the right. After the most recent alignment adjustment (12-30) when my car was returned, not only did the pull still exist, but my steering wheel was off center. My service manager seems oblivious to the TSB dated 12-16 regarding just this very issue. I have resolved myself to take it to an alignment shop with the Hunter GSP9700 road force balancer with straight trak to have the problem rectified as my dealer seems clueless with regard to this issue. Does anyone have knowledge of exactly how the caster/camber adjustments are made on the Genesis sedan. I have been unable to find this particular information on this forum, or any other for that matter. Possibly I have not looked in the right place. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Happy New Year!

Have your tires rotated front to back to find out if the pull changes. Also if no change then swap left to right to make sure that its not a bad tire or tires. So many times it is tire related.

Believe me, those were the first things I did were to swap tires, first front to back, then side to side as well.

I've got a 2011 4.6 with a pull to the right, and a slightly off center steering wheel.

Paid for an alignment, with no luck.

Do you have a link to the TSB dated 12/16 you mentioned above??

My car didn't pull but the steering wheel was off to the right when I drove. Had an all wheel alignment done and found the left rear wheel out of spec. Had it corrected and wheel not straight. Of course I had to pay for it myself at an independent shop.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I had same with brand new car after 5 days in a row told the dealer money back or fix it !!!!!! THEY SAID THAT THEY CHANGED ALL 4 SENORS IN THE TIRES ?????
Not sure what that is but car has been GREAT FOR A YEAR AND HALF. good luck solid as a rock .................the electronics is crap ! radio nav ipod etc. but goes straight.

Just an update to my above mentioned alignment issue. I decided to take my pulling issue to a dealer in a larger city. After having driven my car the technician returned and spoke to me personally. He said it was indeed pulling right and that he'd seen this twice before. His solution is to replace the left front spring. Seems strange to me, but at this point I am open to most any suggestion.

Folks,
My apologies. The above post should read "and wheel NOW straight. Recommend an all wheel alignment by a independent shop before anything else.

I had the same issue. Pulled to the right. It took three attempts to fix. The tech claimed he used the road force balancer the first two times but did not get a clear indication of excessive force until the last time I had it in. I believe he had to swap the right front with the left rear to make things work. So far the alignment seems correct.

i'm a little lost, my car is an '09 4.6 and it always pulled either left or right (after i got new tires) when i let go of the steering wheel on a balance non-angled road. is this an alignment issue or is there something wrong with another part of the car that does the "pulling" when i turn left, its much harder to do than when i turn the car right with the steering wheel.

My 2015 has worn out 4 sets of tires over the last 80k miles, had 2 alignments done, no help!!
