  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 2015 V6 Ultimate, and recently the Automatic Start feature from the Genesis app is no longer working. It worked fine for 6 months, and just recently stopped working.

When I select the remote start feature and enter my passcode, it initially displays "Success" on the screen, but within a few minutes, I receive an email saying "REMOTE START---Your request for Remote Start with Climate Control cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later. " Shortly afterwards, I get a notification on my phone that the "request was not processed".

I have tried rebooting, reinstalling the app, logging in and out of the app, logging in and out of different wifi/4G connections, and nothing seems to help. I have even tried from different locations, thinking that could be part of the issue, and so far, zip.

I live in Wisconsin, and the remote start is a HUGE feature as we start into winter, so any advice or ideas that anyone has would be really appreciated. It's starting to get cold!

thanks,

gohawkeyes

Bluelink subscription ran out?

car must also be locked and not have the key in the vehicle

Bluelink subscription ran out?

Could be this as the included free trial period is only 3 months long. Did the OP renew?

Call Bluelink from the button on your mirror!

I have a V6 Ultimate also and mine was doing the same thing for about a week. Prior to it not working I had not expierenced any problems with it before. It is working again this week so I just assumed there was some sort of issue with the app or connection... It is very annoying when you expect it to work and it doesn't

If the subscription needed to be renew, the app would tell you and not let you enter the pass-code for it. I encounter the same issue before where I would get the same issue for a few days and it would work. Never called but after a few days it would work.

Same car, same problem, same state.

This is happening to me too (Ironically in Wisconsin...Ha). Its been 3-4 weeks. Not only remote start, but all remote features of the app except for Google to Car.

4 Calls to Blue link finally returned a "We need you to go to the dealership for more testing" They tested the car for the day sent me home with my car with a "We could not fix it, we will get back to ya". 4 days later, the dealership informed me that Hyundai Engineers want them to replace my ECM. This means reprograming the whole car and keys I guess.

Do not waste anymore time testing and deleting the app. Get a case started with Blue Link and get it in for service.

btw...The reason my remote start was not working - At least, what Blue Link was seeing, "conditions have not been met". The signal was sent and "Success" on the app but eventually the car sent back a "Conditions not meet" The remote start was reading a door unlock or window down and that was just not the case. Later I would receive a "Remote start did not work, we could complete request" notice. Obvious glitch.

hopefully hyundai gets a brain and puts remote start on the key fob with future iterations of the genesis. the app/blue link was working ok for me until the last couple weeks. now it's a crap shoot whether or not i can lock the doors/start the engine on the first, or even second try. it's sometimes taking 3 tries. NOT GOOD! :-(

Did you try a new battery? It seems like a lot of 2015 Genesis owners are complaining about keyfob battery life being very short.

you can't remote start a 2015 genesis from the key fob. i'm talking about the flaky smartphone app/blue link setup that hyundai is using. it was working pretty good for several months...now it's a crap shoot whether it works or not! please hyundai...put remote start back on the key fob!!!

Sorry, I thought you had problems with door locks via keyfob, but now I understand it was remote locking. I am not sure I would trust remote locking of the car.

to the apps credit...you do get a text/email informing you if your request for remote lock was successful or not. unfortunately i've been getting a number of unsuccessful texts lately! :(

Are you parking in a new spot? The car needs to have a good cell signal from the carrier that Hyundai uses for these functions to work. Does anyone know the carrier?

I just tried mine and it worked right away, but my car is linked to my home WiFi and that may be an alternate path.

I kept getting the "Your request for Remote Start with Climate Control cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later. " message but thanks to @reddogva99 I realized the car was UNLOCKED and won't remote start unless it is LOCKED.

Latest Update:

thanks to all for your ideas, we have tried all of them, including everything that Blue Link, or any of the Hyundai service helpers can do.

Here is the latest. I have had my car in now 3 times and they still can't figure it out. They replaced the junction box, and that didn't fix it.

I have installed/reinstalled both the Genesis app and the normal blue link app, thinking that might help, and nothing.

I can get the car to lock/unlock using the app, but not start. They have been in contact with Blue Link, Hyundai and everyone too, but haven't gotten anywhere. I tried locking it using the app, then starting it using the app, and nothing.

My dealer is Bergstrom Hyundai in Appleton, my service guy is Jon, and the tech they have working on it is Brian. They are both really trying to figure it out. I am taking it in again on Monday, and letting them have it for a couple of days if needed. I live in Wisconsin, and it gets really cold here, so this feature is important.

Anyone else have this problem get this far? Somehow, the car will do everything I want, EXCEPT activate the auto-start from the app.

Any thoughts or ideas I can give them would be really appreciated.

Have you tried starting it from your computer?

If you look at the app reviews at the Google Play store (or wherever you got it from) you'll see that the reviews are AWFUL. It seems many people have problems like this. I do too. I will definitely not be renewing my subscription once the three months for free expires.
