If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. When I was buying my Genesis, I was supposed to get "all-weather floor mats", but when I was taking the car, I noticed I had carpet floor mats. First the dealer said; 'u did not say all-weather' but then we showed him in the what's included paper the have on the window of the car it said that 'carpet floor mats' are included. So he agreed.

Then he said he did not have them and had to order. Today I went to pick up my title etc. and he showed me Genesis accessories doc which said 'all weather floor mats do not exist for some Hyundai models including Genesis' so he gave me another set of carpet ones...

Somehow I feel I am getting ripped off here. What did you folks do?

I'm not quite following your first paragraph. Did you mean to say that the window sticker said it included all-weather mats, which is why the dealer said he'd order them?

The Genesis only comes with carpeted mats. If you want all-weather mats (i.e. rubber or similar), then you'll have to go aftermarket. Assuming you were given a due-bill for the all-weather mats, then you can insist that the dealer provide aftermarket ones.

Take a look at these:

These are from Hyundai Accessory Store... I plan to order them soon. The picture on the website is not a Genesis obviously....it does say they are molded for our car...

Bob

Just so there's no confusion, the "Hyundai Accessory Store" is just the domain name that a dealer in MA picked, so the OP shouldn't go back to his dealer and call him a liar for saying that there is no official all-weather mat for the Genesis ;)

I should have mentioned that - sorry. I did realize this is just a dealer's site.

I am going to bet these mats are not *official*. It would be cool if they said Genesis on them or something. Hopefully they have the hooks in place like the picture shows to ensure they do not slide around.

I purchased a set of Hexomat all-weather floor mats from the above site. They where made for the Genesis. I even went with the full rear mat. They came in about a week after placing the order. They fit perfect. I went with the black. I like how they look, but they didn't offer making them with the Genesis name.

I just purchased my Genesis Sedan about 2 weeks ago. I too wanted all-weather mats to protect the carpet mats. My dealership had a small brochure of "Gensis Accessories," and they showed an all-weather mat ...for the Genesis, but in checking with the dealer's Parts Dept., they made a call to Hyundai and found they do not exist (yet). I bought the Weather-Tech mats on eBay in black (my carpet is also black) and they look quite nice in this luxury sedan. Definitely acceptable until the Genesis-brand mats become available in the future. Hope that helps, good luck!

I too am looking for a set, but does not seem to find one. The one in WeatherTech actually looks pretty good, but it is not custom made for Genesis, the retaining holes are on the side instead of the middle. I returned them today; the one in the hyundaiaccessories store look grey rather than black..

Sorry, was busy when typing... Well, when I was negotiating I asked for the floor mats, and they agreed. I did not specifically said "all-weather" at the time. So, they argued that they are giving me mats as in the contract but carpet ones and I had to pay $200 for all-weather ones.

That's when I showed them window sticker and agreed to order all-weather ones for me which apparently does not exist :)

So, it looks like I gotta get an aftermarket too. Thanks for suggestions. Please keep on posting what you end up buying...

Indeed it would cool. It would stop me from obsessively shaking out my cloth mats or cringing when people with muddy/wet feet get into my car :)

BTW, happy birthday! :D

I too ordered the Weathertech Mats, not knowing they weren't a custom fit. The rear mats fit perfectly (even though they aren't a custom mat) but the fronts do leave a lot of gaps around the side. The quality is great and even without the retaining hole, I find they stay in place OK. Certainly not as good as a factory fit mat and now that Hyundai has FINALLY come through with a set for the Genesis (per 'crhbobby'), I'll be ordering those.

Same here. I've had a set of weathertech's for 5 months and they work pretty well. My one gripe would be that the retaining hole does not match up, but they are still not bad and look pretty good.

Ok Yall...Got an email back from that dealer... and this is what they sent me.. They look official enough to me...what do you guys think? I told him I would probably be ordering soon...and a cargo tray.

So I see that they are shrink wrapped with Hyundai packaging, and they say "Genesis" within the rubber molding, but how do we know those are actually official Hyundai mats. The dealer did send the picture, but some actual proof would be nice. Ya know? <just kidding> Buying mine this weekend. Thanks!

I ordered the winter mats, cargo tray, cabin filter, oil filter, and a license plate cover... Got it all shipped for 200 bucks. Not bad.

You also get 11% off for being a new customer. I was happy to find that out when I checked out.

Bobby, forgive my ignorance, but what is the website for this dealer with these floormats? I'd bet that they have lotsa goodies. :D

I'd say that the Genesis name on the mats and the Hyundai symbol on the package lends considerable authenticity to them. ;)

Called my local dealer with the part number shown in the photo and they confirmed that they have them in stock. Going to get mine today.

Follow-up...
Got a pair of the Front mats and they fit great. Interesting though, the plastic hangers they use to hang them on the display stand are identical in shape, form and fasteners to those supplied with my Weathertech mats. The dimples in the mats where the hanger grips the mat are the same also. Coincidence?

The mats are definitely different in size and pattern and fit much better than those from Weathertech. Maybe they just use the same hanger supplier, but Weathertech are big on using North American suppliers for everything, so what are the odds that Hyundai would pick a North American hanger for their mats unless they were made here and maybe by the same company. The Weathertech quality is great so that is a good thing if in fact its true.

Just received my mats (from the Dealer whose link is mentioned earlier in this thread - and provided great price and service). The mats are custom to the Genesis Sedan and are great (only in black, but that's what I was looking for). I have the custom-cut Weathertech mats for my Honda Odyssey, and love them as well, but the construction is entirely different from the Genesis mats, and although both are made in the US (again, both of top quality), the construction and design suggests to me 2 different manufacturers, for what it's worth.

Just a suggestion, but Weathertech (I think the corporate name is MacNeil automotive, or something like that) is typically about 6-9 months behind a new vehicle/model introduction before their custom mats come out, so if someone wants custom mats in a color that isn't black, I would expect the product might be available by this winter.
