  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone upgraded their 2nd Gen DH series cars with an alloy dead pedal made from Hyundai?

I saw a post of someone who did it using a coupe dead pedal but that was for 1st Gen BH series model. When I bought the coupe dead pedal, I noticed it was trapezoidal shaped and way too big for the 2nd Gen so I returned it.

The DH standard pedal looked rectangular so I found this one for an Elantra/Veloster and it appears it might fit size wise but I'm not sure if the clips would match. I don't want to cut the plastic dead pedal out only to find out it wouldn't work.

The G80 sport models have the alloy dead pedal but I can't seem to find one.

I see there are other third party screw in or adhesive tape ones but I would rather have a matching one from hyundai instead of one that is mismatched from the oem alloy brake and accelerator pedals.

Anyone here think this would work?

Yes I've got one also. It fits but I needed to get the tools to release the old one. The problem is squeezing the to clip to get it off. You need a tool that has a V to help squeeze the clip. I now have them and ought to be able to get the job done quite easily. I'll let you know when I'm done and what you'll need to get the job done efficiently and quickly.

That'd be great! If you have the chance pictures would be helpful! And just to be clear, you have the model I showed and not the coupe one?

i need to see this too. I'm on the same boat.

Any updates on this? I haven't been able to find anything for an alloy dead pedal for the 2G Genesis. I'd settle for a third party screw in or adhesive solution, but I can't even find that. If the Elantra dead pedal is a confirmed fit, I can go that route, but I would definitely like to see Spanky's results, and the referenced tool.
