  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just noticed recently that the AM on my car is horrible, I'm also 3k over the 36k radio warranty

I spoke to an advisor and he tells me that they would need to test the AM antenna thats embedded on the rear window or it could be the radio itself

My only concern is hyundai seems to love to point the finger at other things so i'm wondering if they point to my window tint or aftermarket subwoofer..

The AM does seem to have the engine tone noise which makes me think that I may have a subwoofer ground issue

You guys with aftermarket subs experience any of this

I also noticed some condensation on of the headlights, not alot but it took me for surprise..Anyone have that issue as well

Some window tints can cause a drop in AM signal..Ceramic tints will not
I believe the AM signal booster is located in the "C" pillar not the window .

Good luck getting them to honor the warranty

if they dont want to warranty it, thats ok..I have third party extended coverage just in case something like this was to happen

Does anyone actually tune in in to AM now a days?

My AM sucks also!

Our car has AM :D

I find myself more into local politics these days and our local talk radio station is on AM

A factory rep told me the condensation in the headlight is considered normal..

I'm going to have the wiring for the sub looked over to ensure the grounds are tight as I do hear feedback on AM from the engine

BS! I had my Gen 1 light replaced under warranty. They are worth over $2500/side so yes they will be reluctant to change it. Any form of condensation is not normal.
