  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post! I have a question about the ambient lighting for the Sport Prestige trim and the Advanced trim. I have seen some videos regarding 2022 GV70 2.5T Advanced, where the panel under the arm rest has these fashionable lines that light up with ambient lighting at night, which I thought was so aesthetically pleasing! The area underneath the arm rest (bottle holder area) also lit up with ambient lighting as well.

My question is for the 2023 GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige trim, does it also have the same ambient lighting? I heard from some others that the carbon fiber panel replaced those fashionable lines, and that perhaps the bottle holder area underneath the arm rest also did not have the ambient lighting. Can someone clarify or show us some pictures of how the interior ambient lighting looks for the 2023 GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige trim and/or the 2023 GV70 2.5T Advanced trim?

I know these are minor things, but I want to really weigh the cost and benefits, for I am so in love with this car. haha

Thank you everyone for your time and assistance!

Here is a snapshot of the cool ambient lighting underneath the arm rest of the 2022 GV70 Advanced; I'd love to have that at the sport prestige model!

the 2.5 Sport Prestige does not have the carbon fiber panels. Instead, the 2.5SP has machined aluminum, which they call haptic carbon pattern. It's a beautifully machined aluminum with a great feeling texture. I have seen the 3.5SP carbon trim panels and I prefer the 2.5 aluminum. I also preferred the 2.5SP mesh inserts over the quilted leather of the 3.5.

As for ambient lighting, the Sport Prestige loses the lit trim panels in the Advanced you have pictured. The 2.5 does have ambient lighting going around the center console though, and I'll add photos taken from both passenger side view and the driver's side view. Thank you so much for your pictures! Is this the 2023 GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige? Do you know if the cup holder area by the bottom of the doors have ambient lighting as well? Thanks so much for your help!!

Yes, in the first picture you'll see then entire door pocket is lit up. Again, sorry for the orientation; I don't see a way to rotate the photo.

Oh! Haha, sorry wasn't sure exactly what I was looking at!
