  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was in the shop yesterday working on the Coupe and Dan came in to give me a hand.

Dan test fit several 18" wheels which had plenty of clearance but the big question was... will a 17" wheel clear the caliper???

Our 17" test wheel was an SSR Type C wheel that had been used on an Evo 8 previously.

This wheel just barely clears the caliper by probably 1/8" on the ID of the barrel. The tightest spot was at the top of the caliper.

Rich took some pictures and after he edits and tags them, we will get them posted up.

I am still planning on getting a wheel fitment diagram filled out to help everyone with wheel selection.

i like that look IMHO!!! that is tight tho i am not sure if i want to have that tight clearance

hmmm any pics of the car off the lift? 17's look really small

The reason for testing fitment was to let people know there are options. Weather it be for track wheels, drag wheels or winter wheels with snow tires...... It is just information.

Sorry it took a while but I finally got a chance to check fitment of stock Evo 9 wheels.

Here are the results.

hmm looks pretty decent
Evo 9 wheels are gonna be popular among genesis owners for auto-x wheels :)
nice

I assume they use a 4.5 x 5 lug pattern?

Are the stock offsets known, and how aggressive/big can we be on the rears?

I thought I saw 245 was the stock rear width...can 275+ tires fit with proper rim width/offset?
