  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

And... the discounts are starting..

$55,785 MSRP
-$3,164 Discount
$52,621 Sale Price

-$400 College Grad (graduate in last two years, or will graduate in next 6 months)
-$500 Military Discount
-$500 Boost Up (something to do with a Boost Up account)
-$1,000 Valued Owner (current Hyundai owners)
-$1,000 Mobility (to install handicap equipment on the car)

$49,221 After All Rebates

No one on earth qualifies for all these rebates, and most only qualify for one or two of them.

You're correct about the rebates, which is why I just said "less than 53K", and not "less than 50K". In any case, I was referring to the willingness to negotiate and back down off MSRP, which is something a dealer I was speaking to a couple of months ago was unwilling to do.

These aren't new at all. I paid almost exactly $51 for a V8 Ultimate in May. No inside connections, and no rebates. I drove about 80 miles for the deal, but that was well worth it imo. The place I went (Classic Hyundai) wasn't advertising that kind of deal outright, but another place in Ohio (Ricart) was advertising on autotrader in the 52's as of May.

That being said, I've never paid sticker price for a car and I didn't find the ability to deal on the car odd at all. If they would have demanded full sticker at every dealership near me I would have grabbed one of the certified A6's or 550's that I was also looking at.

Ah well the dealers I went to were pretty firm back then, but then again I wasn't seriously looking (especially considering we just replaced a 2013 Ford Fusion with a 2014 Acadia for my wife). But if the right deal came around, I'd be very tempted!

The dealers here in SE Michigan were discounting even back in June.

I think in 6-9 months the deep discounts will begin, Truecar shows a v8 ultimate at under invoice, $51.9K. If I add just the valued owner rebate of 1K you are at 51K. I bet we drop even further under invoice, like when I got my 2012 5.0

Why? The only 2015 I have seen on the road is the loaner I had for a day. The dealer had many sitting there. They look pretty, are a great deal, but for various reasons ARE NOT SELLING.

I will buy one at $45K (perhaps wishful thinking, dunno) ;-)
