  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Android Auto and Apple Car Play

On my phone bluetooth has its own volume which only appears when BT is actually playing. For some reason the phone initializes this volume to about 1/3 of full volume when BT first connects to the car, so I have to remember to turn it up each time. I run the phone volume at full and like others have said 35 on the car is REALLY loud.

According to map update website, version 10 will be released on June 1st. this is where they can potentially push out an update with android auto. if not the next one should be 6 months later. These are, of course my speculations and wishful thinking.

The map updates are from a subsidiary company and likely would not be used to provide an update in capability like AA or CP, especially that they technically would compete with them. Won't need $$$ map updates when Google provides them for free through the phone....

Yes, but Hyundai has stated that enabling AA and CP will require a different MAP software version to be compatible with those systems. They have also recently been quoted as saying that there will not be a charge for the software, but that there would be for the card. They have not specifically stated that the updated software would include a newer map.

Which is ironic since most want AA & CP so they do not have to use the Hyundai supplied maps and routing.

I can't remember the exact quote, but the issue stemmed from the current MAP software not being compatible... perhaps with the AA or CP MAP overlay display? From that standpoint, I can understand that the MAP software would require a modification even if the MAP itself was not changed.
