  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just installed map update 11.5 and it added Android Auto to my car.
Mine is 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD with technology package.

Does your Tech Package come with or without the DIS controller (or is it touchscreen)? I don't believe that the Tech Package in US and Canada are exactly the same.

In Canada, the tech package has touch screen only, at least for my model year. It has HUD but google map navigation does not project into HUD.

I called the map company and they said this does not apply to the Canadian 2016 Hyundai Genesis. Can anyone else confirm? I don't doubt Kylo Ren (despite what he did to poor Han Solo); but I'm concerned my Premium trim 2016 sedan won't get the same benefit.

Anyone else enjoying Android Auto?

Waze is just icing on the cake.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have a 2015 Sedan 5.0 Ultimate. Will this update give me Android Auto compatibility?

I am stoked about this, I will chat with the dealer today to see what's up. I am going to ask about this audio update as well. I will report back!

I mentioned this to my service advisor at Richmond Hill Hyundai and he had no idea if the updated maps for my 2016 Genesis 3.8 with Tech Package would include Android Auto / Apple Car Play. Both the service advisor and I asked the parts counter and they had no idea, I also called two other dealerships here in Toronto, Ajax Hyundai and Markham Hyundai and neither of them could give me an answer.

What dealership did you have this done at?

Not surprising they don't know anything about the car other than what is in the manuals. I purchased, downloaded, and installed it myself. It is straightforward. Here is the link to official Hyundai map updates in Canada: http://www.hyundai-gpsmap.ca/map-updates/2015-hyundai-genesis-only-touch-map-update-117s51.html

Were they not offering to do the upgrade free of charge?

The promotional material for the genesis mentioned AA and ACP would be coming soon.

Is the only way to get this by buying the update for $175 USD?

Not sure. I didn't bother asking. It was a small price for a remarkable added usability.

Forget the free upgrade, I find the promises made by the dealership departments aren't worth the paper they are sent on. I tried that route.
