Android Auto available in Canada with map update V10

I received communication from Mnsoft (more than a week after I contacted them) confirming that it won't add AA to Canadian Genesis, suggesting to return the package for a refund. Now the question is if it is worth adding 3D birdview for more than 300 Canadian dollar. Has anyone tried this new map update?

I'm not in Canada but I did do the update since I have a 3.8 AWD w/Tech package in the US. Of course the update we got did give us AA and CarPlay but it also gave us the "3D" map option. IMO just that alone would not be worth $300 to me but that's probably because I lease and didn't buy. I suppose if you own the car and are planning to drive it for 5+ years then I can see doing it.

Oh in that case I'd say save your money then. What do you mean by "terminate" it? Are you coming up to your lease end date already? Wanting to trade up to a '16?

It is far from lease end. Thinking of pay off the lease and trade it in for another brand if the difference between pay-off and trade in value is not astronomical.
I am shortlisting the options. So far, Jaguar f-pace and Audi Q7 are in the list.

If it doesn't work then I will enjoy rest of the lease term. It is a very fine car after all.

I am curious what will happen when the 2017 G80 gets released. Assuming they don't add blue link it will be the exact same equipment. And I would assume they are going to add apple car play and android auto to that model year. So can one not get the update files and add it to the 15/16 model years at that point in time?

I'm not Canadian (USA) but I received and installed V10, what is weird is that the update doesn't need a code as previous versions. Wondering if USA update will work on Canadian units?

It will as I ordered mine through the US site and installed it no issue. I have version 9.5, not 10. For some strange reason they were charging more on the Canadian site plus an outrageous $40 US to ship a small SD card?

Also, does anyone know if the map pack is different between Canada and the US pack? If it's a North American map pack I may order the US update and try it.

So, is there any more update on this for Canadian Owners. I am very close buying a 2016 model. I talked to the dealer and they have no clue. Specially the sales guy, they started blabbering "if you install any 3rd party software it will VOID the warranty". Crazy! they need to do more research. I guess most days they are selling elentra or sonata. So, not used to selling Genesis or knows anything about this car.

Someone please provide updates. I am very curious to know. I am hooked to iphone and without apple play, i may need to wait till 2017 model.

I did install map V10 update. No android auto or apple counterpart are available, no exception for 2016 models. It adds 3D map view, which is nice to have but its absence in the first place it outrageous in this price bracket (or any price bracket with navigation).

I noticed no improvement in voice recognition. It actually feels as it is worse now but I don't care anymore since I have given up on this.

Oh, and until recently, whenever I mentioned android auto to my dealership they acted like I speak gibberish.

I agree 100% with Kylo. I got my update done couple of weeks ago and the only feature your getting for the money is 3D map feature. Hefty price to pay for this feature though. I do not own an iPhone so i cannot comment on Siri feature
Our cars should have 3D map from the factory to begin with.
Piece of advice: save your money.

You can order it here and install it yourself. I've installed a number of updates on my previous Sonata, wifey's Santa Fe, and the Genesis and it has always worked fine.
