Android Auto/Carplay download assistance please

I suspect this is why auto manufacturers dread this type of upgrade. They do not control the software nor the various hardware and software versions on the phones. With Android, the problem can be even more complicated with the various software versions and less locked down architecture of the iPhone.

Which trim level do you have? I have the tech package. My Sd card is being updated right now. I saved a copy of the original files on my pc. Just in case. If it doesn't work. I can at least take the map files out of the update and see if i can put it on the original Sd card files

Mine is technology package. It made the update SD and wiped the original map. Good I had a back up on my PC. I managed to restore the original SD.
 
okay well i have to wait for my sd card to finish updating. but i wonder, i was looking at the poster info and it says he drives 5.0. from my understanding i thought all 5.0 came with the 9 inch infotainment system that didnt get carplay and android auto.

In Canada V8 comes only with ultimate package and no V6 has ultimate.

I have a 5.0 NON Ultimate, so in the US that is the "cheaper" and smaller system with the 8" screen. No multimedia controller on the center console...
 
Hello... I have a 2015 Genesis Sedan AWD with Signature package. I'm having problems with myhyundai account to get this update. It's requiring me to have to go to a dealership and I live pretty far from one. Are you still willing to update someones SD card because I would like the amazon music app as well as Apple CarPlay. If you also have a way to somehow submit the files online too I would really appreciate it. I am willing to pay you for your trouble as well.
