  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Android Auto Update 2017

one thing i noticed is that music volume does not automatically lower when car parking sensors are active and beeping which might be a bug...would that be a function of the car software or phone software?

NOt sure. I heard somewhere android Auto will work over Bluetooth?

Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay can support wireless implementation, but.... a big but... .the car's hardware and firmware must also support the wireless implementation. BMW was the first to offer OEM units with Wireless.

There MIGHT be a chance that the hardware we have in our G2s can support wireless with a firmware upgrade, but, that is not confirmed at this point. The reason that I say that it MIGHT be possible, is the fact that our cars do have wireless connectivity built into the head units. (Used to upgrade apps when you are at home, or connected to a hotspot) Again... it could happen, but may not. Stay tuned.
