  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi,
Whenever I invoke the Genesis app on my Android it crashes with the following message
"The Application Genesis(Process .com.stationdm.genesis) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Is anyone else facing the same problem. I have already reported this problem to Google.

Thanks
Sudip

I don't have the answer, but including the phone and which OS version you're running would likely provide more opportunity for those with similar devices to comment. Good luck!

The phone is Motorola Atrix MB860
Android version 2.3.6

Thanks

Isn't Android 4. something required? The app works perfectly on my Galaxy S5.

Gingerbread is REALLY OLD for Android but probably all that phone supports. Most likely there is some framework conflict as it would not have even been install-able if it wasn't compatible (unless you side loaded it). When I have had this problem with other apps, I try the following:

- Reboot phone
- Clear app cache and then restart app
- Try force close other background apps and then start Genesis App (won't fix but may lead to a culprit)
- Call Hyundai App support and hope they can help.

If those fail then you get to tougher stuff
- Upgrade or install custom ROM if available (need to backup, may be time consuming...complicated if you go custom route)
- Restore your phone to factory (need to back up and time consuming)
- Buy a new phone (time consuming to set up)...you are due for something more modern IMO.

thanks for the rpely. The last option of buying a new phone seems a pretty good answer. I would go for that one. :)
